Within the scope of the Expo 2010 in Shanghai, we already cooperated with the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) and the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). The modular installation of the TU Darmstadt had been presented in the foyer of the German Centre Shanghai for the duration of the world exhibition. This has now been reawakened for the Wasser Berlin 2011.
The multimedia room installation was modified and adjusted to its new surroundings. Around 50.000 visitors of the world‘s largest fair for international water supply and distribution are presented with eight short films. These depict various BMBF-sponsored projects in the world concerning water supply and disposal.
The BMBF-stand informs about a selection of forward-looking projects, all sponsored by the ministry. Consistent with name and content of the fair, we installed inflatable drops above their stand in the „Internationales Länderforum“. Part of the stand consists of an inflatable igloo showing 3D-presentations, the „Aquadome“. The LED-crown we planned and realized consists of approximately 1400 LED-bars used for a 360º-projection. Here, visitors can inform themselves about the Aquadome‘s current program and the stand‘s other attractions.
